On the archipelago New Earth large-scale development of the Pavlovskoye field begins. The project will receive funding in the amount of about 70 billion rubles. According to the new concept, the processing plant will be built on the mainland in the Arkhangelsk region, which will significantly increase the efficiency of the entire enterprise.
The Pavlovskoye deposit of lead-zinc ores is one of the largest in Russia. It ranks fourth in zinc reserves and fifth in lead. The implementation of this project will be a significant event for the mining industry of the entire northern region.
The updated development strategy was presented at a meeting on the socio-economic development of the Arkhangelsk region. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev. The new scheme assumes that the processing infrastructure will be concentrated on the mainland, in the area of the future port.
This solution will minimize logistics risks and optimize production processes. Moving processing facilities to the mainland makes the project more sustainable and economically viable. It is planned that the first stage of the modern mining and processing complex will begin its work by 2031.
Pavlovskoe field will become a key investment project for the Arkhangelsk region. Its development will open up new prospects not only for the mining industry, but also for the entire industrial and port infrastructure of the Russian North. This is an important step in strengthening the economic potential of the region.
