Scientists from Transbaikal State University (ZabSU) have created a technology for environmentally friendly extraction of gold from waste from placer gold mining. The method reduces environmental damage and increases recycling efficiency.
ZabSU specialists have proposed a new method for extracting gold from gale-ephel dumps – waste that remains after the extraction of placer gold. The technology makes it possible to obtain up to 0.35 grams of precious metal from one cubic meter of sand.
The main advantage of the method is the use of leaching solutions with low concentrations of chemical reagents. This reduces environmental damage compared to traditional gold mining methods.
The technology has already passed laboratory tests on small and large samples. Scientists have confirmed its effectiveness and plan to create a pilot plant for large-scale implementation.
The development of ZabSU opens up new opportunities for gold mining with minimal damage to the environment. Adopting the technology can be an important step in developing a sustainable mining industry.
