The Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra) is preparing to hold new auctions at the end of 2025. Several promising areas with placer reserves will be put up for auction gold in key regions of the Far East and Siberia. This event opens up new opportunities for companies operating in the gold mining industry.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, Rosnedra plans to hold a series of auctions for the right to develop placer gold deposits. The list includes objects in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Trans-Baikal and Kamchatka territories. These areas were additionally included in the licensing plan, which emphasizes their potential for the development of the country’s mineral resource base.
Among the most significant lots offered to investors:
- In the Ust-Yansky district of Yakutia, the “Omega Stream” plot with an area of 1.73 square meters will be put on display. km. Its geological reserves in category C1 are estimated at 201 kilograms of gold, which makes it one of the most attractive auction targets.
- The Trans-Baikal Territory is represented by the Solovaya River section in the Krasnochikoysky district. Its area is 3.63 square meters. km, and the predicted resources of categories P1 and P2 reach almost 96 kilograms of gold.
- In Kamchatka, in the Penzhinsky district, investors will be able to compete for two sites: the “Kichavayam River” with reserves of 3 kg and “Ruchey Ravninny”, where reserves are estimated at 19 kilograms of gold.
The holding of these auctions is aimed at involving unused deposits and development of the gold mining potential of remote but strategically important regions. This is an important step to strengthen Russia’s position in the global precious metals market.
Announced auctions for placer gold are generating significant interest from specialized companies. The development of new sites will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Far East and Siberia, creating new jobs and infrastructure. The next stage will be the publication of official notices and conditions for participation in auctions.
