The Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Polymetal company have entered into a new agreement on socio-economic cooperation. The document, designed for three years, was signed by the Prime Minister of the region Andrei Nazarov and the director of the Ural branch of the company Andrei Novikov. This event took place as part of the investment sabantuy “Trans-Urals”.
This partnership is aimed at implementing important social initiatives in Sibay and other regions of the republic. The company plans to actively participate in the life of the region, supporting projects that will improve the quality of life of local residents.
Polymetal’s investment activities in Bashkiria are actively developing. In the fall of 2024, the company received a license to develop the Novopetrovskoye field, containing gold, copper and zinc. This deposit is located in the Khaibullinsky district. Already in the spring of 2025, the Sibay mining and processing plant was acquired, for which Novopetrovskoye will become the main raw material base.
Start of ore mining at the new field scheduled for 2028. The volume of estimated reserves is 10.4 million tons of ore, which opens up a long-term perspective for the development of the entire production cluster.
Thus, cooperation between government and business creates a solid foundation for sustainable growth. This partnership successfully combines large-scale industrial projects with comprehensive support for the social sphere of the entire region.
