From July to October Rosnedra will hold auctions for the right development 15 deposits within the framework of the federal project “Geology. Revival of a legend.” The plots contain gold, silver, copper, zinc and other minerals.
In the coming months, Rosnedra will organize a series of auctions for investorsready to develop mineral deposits. The list includes 15 sites located in different regions of Russia.
Among the key objects are iron ore in the Murmansk region, graphite in Karelia and copper-lead-zinc deposits with silver in the Altai Territory. In the Trans-Baikal Territory, three areas will be put up for auction: one with gold and two with a complex of lead, zinc, silver and gold.
Also on the list are bentonites in Primorye, gold-bearing areas in the Republic of Sakha, Kemerovo, Sverdlovsk, Irkutsk and Magadan regions. In North Ossetia and Bashkortostan, investors will be able to lay claim to deposits with gold and base metals.
According to geological exploration data, the total reserves of these areas include:
- 77 million tons of iron ore
- 191 thousand tons of copper
- 1.2 thousand tons of silver
- 33 tons of gold
- 501 thousand tons of zinc
- 122 thousand tons of lead
Rosnedra auctions open up new opportunities for mining companies. Participation in the auction will allow businesses to gain access to promising deposits, and the state to attract investment in the development of the mineral resource base.
