The Far Eastern Federal District is one of the three regions with the highest salaries in the coal industry. The average offer here is 115,618 rubles per month. Analysts attribute this to the active development of new deposits and state support for the region.
Top 3 regions by salaries in the coal industry
- The Central Federal District (RUB 126,676/month) is the leader of the rating due to the high concentration of company headquarters and engineering centers in Moscow and the region.
- North-Western District (RUB 119,822/month) – industrial enterprises of St. Petersburg and port infrastructure play a key role here.
- Far East (RUB 115,618/month) – salary growth is ensured by the development of new fields and tax benefits.
Analysts note a significant increase in salaries in technical professions:
- Special equipment operators – +56% (up to RUB 135,000/month)
- Electricians – +48% (RUB 74,050/month)
- Mechanics – +44% (RUB 167,008/month)
This is due to a shortage qualified personnel, especially against the backdrop of production modernization and new infrastructure projects.
The number of vacancies for engineers in the spring of 2025 increased by 71%. The average salary in this area increased by 10% and reached 89,595 rubles/month. Experts explain this by the transition of enterprises to digital technologies and automation.
The growth of wages in the coal industry and technical specialties reflects the general trend in the development of industry and infrastructure. The Far East, thanks to government support and new projects, continues to strengthen its position in the country’s economy.
