Construction of a new building starts in the Sverdlovsk region gold mining hub of the Polymetal company. The enterprise will be built near Nizhnyaya Salda, and its launch is scheduled for 2029. This will be the most powerful mining and processing plant in the history of the company, which will annually produce over 4.5 tons of gold.

The production will process non-refractory gold ores with deposits Pavlovskoe, Maminskoe and Pershinskoe. In the future, geological exploration will continue in the Aramashevsky, Nikitinsky and Petrokamensky areas, which will increase resource base

The gold recovery plant with a capacity of 3 million tons of ore per year will use CIP (coal-in-pulp) technology with the production of Doré alloy. The process involves three-stage grinding of ore into microparticles.

The mining and processing plant infrastructure includes:

  • Railway line for ore delivery;
  • Own substation and gas boiler room;
  • Modern treatment facilities and closed water circulation cycle.

The project meets strict environmental standards. The tailings pond will be equipped with a geomembrane barrier to protect the environment.

The company will create more than 1,000 jobs. A rotation camp will be built for employees in Nizhnyaya Salda with comfortable living conditions.

Polymetal’s new mining and processing plant will become a driver of development for the region, providing thousands of jobs and high-tech gold production. The launch of the enterprise will strengthen Russia’s position in the global precious metals market.
